African Black Jar – Small

This handmade unique pieces were used at rituales of entreaty of rain. Made in Burkina Faso.

Origins of the piece:

Burkina Faso is a landlocked African country surrounded by Niger to the east, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana in the south, Cote d’Ivoire to the southwest, and Mali to the north. 80% of its population are employed in agriculture with many other working as artisans. Its name, Burkina Faso, means “land of honest men”.
