Established in 1976, Italian textile firm Dedar focuses on producing cutting-edge collections of fine fabrics, wallcoverings and trimmings, driven by a passion for precious qualities and sophisticated colour palettes.

Fanfara fabric in particular is a tussah silk shantung of artisanal production and therefor inevitably characterized by irregularities in hand, weave and colour, which are most evident when the fabric is hung against the light.

Pure wild silk shantung spun and woven by hand. The use of textural yarns and an artisanal manufacturing process determine the irregularity and vibrancy which make this product unique. Time and craftsmanship are essential to its creation: no more than six metres can be produced in one day.
